There’s one word to define sailing on Carnival Splendor – fun! The largest Carnival ship to sail in Australian waters, it’s packed with exciting things to do, gourmet dining delights, over the top decor and an entertainment extravaganza, making for family-friendly bliss at sea. 

The fun-filled adventures start as soon as you step onboard Carnival Splendor. Put on your swimsuit and head straight for Carnival Waterworks splash park, where you’ll find the thrilling Green Lightning and Twister waterslides. Little kids will love the smaller Splashy Cove waterpark and there are two more pools on the Lido Deck. More fun awaits on the mini golf course and basketball court, or you can battle it out in The Warehouse video arcade. 

There is also plenty of time for relaxation. The Cloud 9 Spa is one of the biggest in the business, spread across two decks and featuring a hydrotherapy pool, sauna, oriental steam bath, aroma steam bath and a tepidarium with heated stone seats. Enjoy some peace and quiet in the relaxation oasis of the Serenity Adult Only Retreat, with a pool, spas and sun lounges. 

You’ll be spoilt for choice at meal times with a dozen dining venues including the huge Lido Marketplace buffet, Guy’s Burger Joint, Pizzeria del Capitano, Mongolian Wok, Seafood Shack and more. Beside the pool, grab a frozen margarita from BlueIguana Tequila Bar or a rum punch from RedFrog.  

Carnival Splendor specialises in good times, so you can expect rowdy deck parties and themed nights. There’s live music every night in the RedFrog Pub, request your favourite song in the Piano Bar and dance the night away in the Nightclub. Dazzling stage shows are held in the theatre, interactive game shows will entertain the whole family and the Punchliner Comedy Club is always good for a laugh. Kids will enjoy the Dr Seuss At Sea activities, like character parades, special meals and interactive story time. 

Cabins come in the standard interior, oceanview and balcony categories, with mini-suites and suites offering more space, bigger bathrooms and extras like whirlpool bathtubs. Carnival Splendor was the first ship to introduce the Cloud 9 Spa staterooms, which give you unlimited access to the spa facilities, priority appointments and plush amenities in the room. 

Carnival Splendor is homeported in Sydney year-round, sailing up the east coast of Australia to Queensland or south around Victoria and Tasmania. It also visits international destinations like New Zealand and the South Pacific.
